2025 COFFIN LOWRY SYNDROME FAMILY GATHERING – Mark & Alicia Elliston, 2025 Host Family
The Elliston family from Illinois hosted the 2025 CLSF Family Gathering in Mt. Vernon, IL June 26-29, 2025 and were excited to show us all a bit about their hometown and their way of life. Mark is a full-time farmer and incorporated it as their theme for this year’s gathering. We had our classic traditions set in place, but they also threw in a few different opportunities for everyone as well. There was a “Granny’s Corner” where Ryan’s own Granny Cathy read books to the kids, an outing to bowl, firetrucks and tractors for everyone to see and lost more. They had ample volunteers, both young and old. They had activities for the Moms and Dads. They hosted guest speakers discussing topics of interest for CLS families including Advocacy, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Care of the Caregiver and also had an annual update on activities from the CLS Foundation.
